But it's not all lighthearted wedding week fun when a series of accidents, two murders, and a fire spin Susan and her planner out of control. Intricate plot peppered with setbacks and humor (who knew a seating chart of the wedding party could be so difficult?) and delightful characters add up to another Wits' End success. I laughed, worried, and tried to figure it all out as I read the book in a single sitting. A favorite author who always leaves me wanting more no matter which series I'm reading. Funny and fantastic!"

"The Bantam Menace is part of the Wits’ End cozy mystery series. While it is the eighth book in the series, it can be read as a stand-alone. I’ve read several of the earlier books in the series, but haven’t read them all (including the two before this one), and I had no trouble following along. The characters are a lot of fun and the setting at a UFO themed B&B adds lots of interesting people to each book. As with the other books in the series, the mystery is well thought out and there are plenty of suspects. The main female character, Susan, is very likeable. She’s a planner with everything in life so she makes a good detective, very methodical. The supporting characters are very likeable as well. It is fast-paced and a lot of fun to read. It’s an excellent cozy mystery book (and series), and I’m enjoying the stories as I make my way through all the books."

"Usually you just have to worry about the in-laws getting along at weddings. This time a murdered is involved and that makes things a bit more pressing. Our heroine is going to have her hands full solving this case and making sure the seating chart is complete. This is book eight in the series but it works just fine as a standalone. This is a cozy mystery with a serious case of the weird and wacky. The story is well written, easy to read and full of mischief. The setting is well developed and the characters are great, bringing the story to life in very odd ways. The wedding provided a new crazy element to the entire plot, creating a really fun story and a solid mystery to boot. Overall, it was a wonderful story and I look forward to exploring more from this author."
